"The final fifth stage is “Wind, Forest, Fire, Mountain, Sea.” It symbolizes Shingen Takeda and Oda Nobunaga, who were said to be geniuses in battle. The final “Sea” is the state of mind reached by Masayoshi Son when his battles are complete."

"In Japan, it was brought back by the Japanese envoy to Tang China, Kibi no Makibi, in 735, and later inherited by the Oe clan and the Minamoto clan. During the Sengoku period, it was used by Motonari Mori in the Battle of Itsukushima, by Shingen Takeda in the Battle of Kawanakajima, and by Ieyasu Tokugawa in the Battle of Sekigahara. At the end of the Edo period, it was taught by Yoshida Shoin at the domain school “Meirinkan” of the Hagi clan."
